Christmas is finally here and while the celebrations are a bit restricted this year you can still go ahead and get your own party started with your loved ones at your home with these awesome Party Food Ideas.
So how about some NACHOS WITH PINEAPPLE SALSA !!!
PINEAPPLE SALSA:
This blender salsa is loaded up with fresh pineapple, tomatillos, green chilly, and cilantro. It’s bursting with a fresh, sweet and spicy flavor that is perfect.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Pineapple
- 1/2 cup Cilantro (coriander leaves)
- 1/2 lime, juice
- 1/2 white onion
- 1 diced green chilly
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Method :
- Simply pulp the ingredients in a food processor (keep it chunky not fine pulp). Keep aside a few pineapple dices for garnish.
- Serve with Crispy Corn Nachos.
CRISPY CORN NACHOS:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup maize flour (makkai ka atta)
- ½ cup wheat flour
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp pepper, crushed & ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp oil & water to knead ( dough should be stiff)
- oil for frying
Method :
- Take 1 cup maize flour and ½ cup wheat flour.
- add ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp pepper, ½ tsp salt and 2 tsp oil & mix well
- now add ½ cup water and start to knead the dough.
- knead to stiff and smooth dough adding water as required.
- pinch a ball sized dough, and dust with wheat flour.
- roll slightly thick, dusting wheat flour as required.
- prick the roll with a fork, preventing from puffing up while frying.
- trim the sides and cut into triangle pieces.
- now drop the triangle chips into the medium hot oil & fry on low to medium flame till nachos turn crisp. (takes 10 mins approx.) or bake in preheated oven at 180 degree celcius for 25 minutes.
- Drain off the chips over kitchen paper
Serve with spicy & tangy salsa.
