Baby Corn Chilli

Baby Corn Chilli

This is also quite a favourite and again super easy to prepare.  Baby corn is tender and hence takes around 5- 7 minutes to cook.  The dish is similar to that of Soya Garlic Chilli.

So, this NEW YEAR’S EVE  while you are busy juggling between both – creating the perfect ambience for your house and dressing up to kill, these dishes will save your time in the kitchen and still manage to conquer your food scene.

Ingredients :

  • 12 baby corns (medium chopped)
  • 3 tsp oil
  • 1 medium sized onion, chopped in squares
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
  • ½ cup Yellow Red & green bell peppers (chopped in squares)
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 1 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp schezuan chutney
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornflour and 2 tbsp water (mixed well)
  • salt to taste

Method :

  • Heat oil in a pan.  Add garlic and ginger. Saute till they turn aromatic
  • Then add onions and continue to saute. Add chopped bell peppers and saute for a minute.
  • Add the soya sauce, red chilli sauce and a tsp of ketchup and saute for 1 minute or so
  • Then add the vinegar and salt (if needed since the sauces have salt in them)
  • Add chili powder, stir in the cornflour slurry and cook for a minute
  • Now add chopped baby corn.
  • Give it a good mix making sure the sauces and veggies are combined with the baby corn
  • Cover and simmer for 5 minutes on slow flame.

It’s ready to serve.
