Strawberry Jam Triple Sandwich

Strawberry jam sandwich in three layers.

Fresh strawberry compote is used around the periphery of the plate for decoration along with finely chopped strawberries as an accompaniment.  It compliments and elevates the jam sandwhich perfectly, making it look gaze-worthy.

The Strawberry Compote OR Couli is a delicious accompaniment made from fresh strawberries.

Finely chopped strawberries are combined with sugar and lemon juice and  simmered into a thick sauce.  The colour is bright red which makes it ideal for decorating any dessert.

It makes a perfect accompaniment to pour over trifle puddings, icecreams, cakes etc.  It gives a nice zingy flavour to the dish.
