Hello I am Greta and welcome to Deliciously URS. My blog is an extension of my rendezvous with food. From a complete non-cook to grappling with the kitchen and now exploring world cuisines, it has been a beautiful journey.
India being an agricultural country, farm-to-table is a way of life in our villages. But in the cities, it is NOW gaining significant popularity these days.
There are different approaches to this concept, but it ideally comes down to the food prepared using locally sourced or
homegrown produce. Essentially, it should be grown naturally and organically.
There are quite a few factors behind the growing popularity of this approach :
A. It has nutritional benefits
B. It is environment-friendly
And last, but not the least
C. It gives a farmer, the much needed retail reach to their produce, which is of paramount importance.
When you know what exactly is on your plate, from where it has come, it gives a certain relaxation to the mind. A feeling of happiness and the food also tastes that much better.
This would surely be good for our health, for the economy and for the environment in the long run.
Please take a look at the various beautiful experiences shared on the blog for this concept.
