Watermelon Grape Juice
These days the increasing heat can knock the daylights out of you. And BTW that is an understatement.
It is HOT and will be so for another …. I don’t know…maybe the whole year. Phew !!
Anyways, ALL WE KNOW IS FOOD COMES TO THE RESCUE. A little bit of shift in the food planning goes a long way to beat the heat.
Watermelon as we all know, it is 92% water and I am sure you will agree, this hydration is what you need in the scorching summers.
I remember having the best watermelon juice at a farmers’ market enroute Mumbai to Panchgani. The glass was so big, I could hardly finish the juice. Now, when I make it at home, it immediately transports me to the vacations. Isn’t it amazing how food makes us relate to memories ? 😍😍
In this post, I have combined watermelon and grape which is a delicious way to charge ourselves. It is a combination of sweet and a little tangy flavours. After you have managed to brave the afternoon heat and returned home, this glass will instantly bring you back to your normal SENSES.
The juice is extremely refreshing. Some varieties of black grapes are healthier than the green or red variety. That makes it a nutrient packed drink. I personally feel that there is no need to add any sweetener, but if you must, then add some jaggery instead of sugar. If your juice separates as it sits, give it a little whirl with a spoon. And I can verify that it is indeed a good idea to use it as a base for your MOCKTAILS as well.
WATERMELON GRAPE JUICE
Ingredients :
- 4 to 5 cups chopped watermelon cubes (deseeded)
- 2 cups black grapes
- 4-5 fresh mint leaves (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional)
Method :
- Wash the grapes thoroughly and extract the juice.
- Blend the watermelon, mint leaves in a blender.
- Pour the watermelon juice in a jar or bowl.
- Add the grape juice to the watermelon juice.
- Stir well and serve with or without ice cubes garnished with mint leaves.
- Serve watermelon grape juice immediately.
