Soya Garlic Chilli

Soya Garlic Chilli

A very high on flavour  protein packed recipe.   It is ready in a jiffy and can be a perfect party food for vegetarians.  It’s an Indo-chinese version and hence suits our palate. The enire cooking is done on a medium high flame to retain the crunch in the veggies and also no nutrients are lost while cooking.   A little kashmiri chilli powder gives it a nice spicy flavour.  You can make an impression this time with your cooking skills so go ahead give it a try.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups soya chunks (Soak in hot water for 30 mins, rinse well couple of times and squeeze the water)
  • 3 tsp oil
  • 1 medium sized onion, chopped in squares
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 inch ginger, finely chopped
  • ½ cup Yellow Red & green bell peppers (chopped in squares)
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 1 tsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp schezuan chutney
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • salt to taste

Method :

  • Heat oil in a pan.  Add garlic and ginger. Saute till they turn aromatic
  • Then add onions and continue to saute. Add chopped bell peppers and saute for a minute.
  • Add the soya sauce, red chilli sauce and a tsp of ketchup and saute for 1 minute or so
  • Then add the vinegar and salt (if needed since the sauces have salt in them)
  • Add chili powder and now add squeezed soya.
  • Give it a good mix making sure the sauces and veggies are combined with the soya chunks
  • Cover and simmer for 2 minutes on medium high flame.

Ready to serve.
